This week, we talk first with Naveed Jamali, candidate for Seattle City Council in district 7, which includes downtown, Belltown, Queen Anne, and Magnolia. Previously, Jamali was a commentator for MSNBC, talking about national security issues drawing from his work as a former FBI double agent, an experience he chronicled in his book, “How to Catch a Russian Spy.”
We also talk with the newly elected chair of the King County Democrats, Shashti Conrad, who ran with a slate of progressive candidates under the banner, Vision 2020. Conrad has a transformative view of the role of the Democratic party, particularly as it interfaces and collaborates with grassroots groups like Indivisible.
