Claudia Castro Luna has recently been named the fifth poet laureate of Washington state, and she talks with us about how poetry can help us to process what’s going on in the country and the world right now–and about how creating poetry can help us better understand ourselves.
Then we’re joined by filmmaker Derek Armstrong McNeill to discuss his documentary, The Road to Nickelsville, which goes in-depth with some of the residents of the Seattle homeless encampments of the same name.
